L'Artisan Foods are manufacturers of handmade pastry products based at Bluestone Business Park.
Jose and Lucia Andre, who own and manage L'Artisan Foods, have significant experience in the food industry from previous businesses they owned in Brazil. They gained experience between owning their own restaurant and deli selling foods such as tarts, natas, quiches and many more. All of their products are high-end and their success in the Great Taste Awards supports this.
With the support from the JWMT, L'Artisan Foods were able to purchase a SALSA Food Accreditation, which in turn meant they could supply large food group retailers such as the Henderson Group. Without this paperwork they would not be able to expand the business beyond smaller restaurants and cafes.
Jose explained how Brian Hunter (MPact mentor) helped them with networking and opening new doors to access customers. L'Artisan Foods were also able to purchase a large freezer for the business at Bluestone which means they can now mass produce products and store them for longer.
